I think there's a few of us out there!

I'm on here recharging my batteries
after a day full of SSO and MFA nonsense. Not to mention "remember this device/login" checkboxes that, as near as I can tell, do nothing.

By the by, I'm revisiting Bruce Sterling's Hacker Crackdown, 34 years after the fact. It's certainly a different perspective now.

If both of those bounce off of you, feel free to distract me from modernity. ---

That's pretty broad, but me too. Most of it, anyway. There _is_ some tech that's boring.

Diff perspective because you're older/more pro, or what?

Definitely a good read, and one of the first DRM-free, free to
    distribute books I ran across.

In some ways, that's inevitable yeah. It's a Wonderful Life is a different movie to me every year.

But beyond that, it happened at this exact nexus between one onramp of online activity and the next, so the sense of momentum carries with it some assumptions about the future. I'm less interested in the accuracy of those assumptions than I am just appreciative of getting to see an encapsulation of that period of time.

And it's a plain fun read in it's own right as well.
